The watch was produced by the Buler Watch Company, a Swiss manufacturer founded in 1945 by Charles and Albert Bühler. Known for being a mass-producer of affordable mechanical watches, Buler designed the Astromaster as an entry-level response to the luxury steel sports watch boom.
